The village still retains the medieval center, the "Fort", still apparent in what remains of the village fortification. In front of the parish church of Saint Michael an arched doorway with it's key stones still remains of this polygonal 'enceinte'. In the slope of the defensive wall lies an iron cross forged in 1855. It is dedicated to the "outrages" performed upon Christ and so bears the instruments of his torture; the spear, pliers...
Walking through the neat little roads you will find the fountain of Duilhac wich is called the "Fontaine des Amours" and has been recently adorned with a verse of Ronsard : "Quiconque en boira qu'amoureux il devienne", "He who will drink, in love he will fall".
The old olive oil mill next to the fountain now converted into a restaurant, stopped working in 1921.
Following a small hiking path crossing a bucolic countryside through vineyards and gardens you reach in one and a half hours the flour mill "Moulin de Ribaute".
There you will find an equipped area for your picknick. Following the riverside of the Verdouble you can admire its fabulous waterfalls and its pools dug into the rock.
It is a must do when it is hot. After the visit of the castle you'll appreciate this fabulous site with a small lake and the canyon of Verdouble. (cost 5€ per car)
Bathing is not allowed all year round and in non supervised periods either outside of the supervised zones limited by regulation signs (green flag and lines on the water surface).
